Well, it had to happen sometime.

According to the story posted over on the GTR OC UK forums, the driver of the Audi R8 following this Nissan loaned GT-R could not stop in time and ran into the back of it. This occured while shooting for an upcoming Top Gear Magazine issue on the Isle of Man. -
Now that you mention it........:duh:

Actually, Nissan dropped the Skyline designation, in all markets, with the R35, the R34 is the last GT-R with the Skyline name.
This is the only new Skyline you can buy(Infinity G37 coupe in the US)

Further info from Nissans GT-R website.(Second paragraph)

Everywhere in that entire wiki page refers to it as the GT-R. The only place it does not is when it is talking about previous models.

so where is it saying the r35 is called a skyline?
notice is says naming trend, not the full name.
