Lack of cars around.

Well there is only one way to use your car and thats the way i use it....obviously being highly sarcastic.
I was wondering why the car scene, hanging out and cruising is so dead. So the post was to people that like doing that kind of thing, obviously there are some cars that are race only or are in pieces. So this would not apply to them.
I will read the other post Instigator, and see how much i am beating the dead horse.
Hanging out is cool as well, not like you need to drive to hang out. I sure havent seen too much, and i dont just mean 3-4 cars and 15 bikes at tintmasters.
Bemidji car scene is starting to grow quite nicely...
There was a night where both imports and domestic met up (10-15) cars, we hung out and bs'd, shared ideas, offered help, cruised, cough (raced) and it was great.
If there was some organization on a forum such as this i think that would help.Everytime that I have been in Bemidji it's just been a bunch of rice boys wanting to go race basically stock cars with wings on them.

THe cars are around just need people being active. -

You must be out at the wrong time of day or something. There are times when there are 30+ cars at TM. I would take my car out if i was not waiting on tranny shops and body shops to do work right.........Even if there were 50 i doubt id ever pull in. If there were somewhere else with some other people as well thatd be cool. Its like me walking through harlem.:icon_rr:

All I can say is, WTF man. -

Ok enough post whoreing now. -
yeah shut your mouth you post whore hahah, jk. I was with transam on the Kmart night, it was ok. Talked with one guy who was willing to introduce himself to the two new guys and then cops kicked us out. I think what transam meant with the harlem comment is would you pull into a parking lot at a shop that primarly worked on performance V8's and there were 50 f-bodys in the parking lot and it was just you and your 4 banger? Now im sure there will be people who say yes of course but thats not everyones cup of tea.
As far as the scene dying in our area, maybe it is maybe its not, i read the novel on the scene being dead in the run your mouth section. I think if the current scene changed a bit it may do better. I think if we could get a dedicated crew went out maybe once a week and met up some place neutral (and that we wouldnt get kicked out of) and people talk mainly cars and people who want to run their cars, we find a back road somewhere and those people race, the whole crew doesnt need to follow them out to see the race, have someone video the race and show the crew when they get back. Keep the racing out of town and away from houses and the cop issues would be a lot less i would imagine. I personally would like to see how my car does against other cars on the street, i know how it does at the track, i dont get traction and i run 13's still. I've only had my car a year and really havent raced it much. I'm curious how it would do against an sti, evo, CORNFED haha (i ran into him week ago or so and didnt really race but his car sounded good) and other modded cars. I'm not saying im faster than anybody i just want to see how my car compares. If i lose who cares, just makes me want to make my car faster. I've rambled to long so thats my two cents on the issue. -

Nothing exciting about being shot at? Thanks btw.
I had no problem rolling up to the ricers at k-mart with the cougar and being a ricer with em. As far as Tintmasters goes is a good setting because there is plenty of space, we won't get kicked out, and everyone knows where it is. I have said that people could use the O'Reilly lot but at night Woody's kind of fills up our parking lot. I'm not all about going cruising in my Impala but I'm all for standing around and BS'n, and maybe going for a ride with someone.

I would just as soon get together and talk about cars rather than try to cruise all the time. I do like to cruise dont get me wrong but, it can be hard to keep a group together.
+1... i love to bs as much as the next guy... but i will agree that i do love chillin talking about cars.. i love to get to know people most of all.... and stirring the pot on occasion is also fun....
