You won't be required to use the new features... you can keep your old menu's if you wish.
The problem with the old layout was that they had to keep putting options and features deeper and deeper in to the existing tabs, so to remedy this they came up with the new dashboard.
I heard that you will be able to add people to a party, and then one person can start the movie and everybody will be able to watch it.

BluRay is lame. Slower than normal, handles twice the information but they copy it multiple times on the disc because they don't want the laser to travel so far because its so slow. BluRay=gay.Have you ever watched a BluRay movie on a nice 1080P TV w/ a good surround sound system? There's nothing like it, its amazing. I'd rather sit in my living room and watch movies instead of going to a movie theater any day.
Netflix is awesome too. I don't have a 360 but that would be cool to have for this stuff. You can stream movies from Netflix on a computer also.

I think he was talking about data (like PS3 Games) on BluRay.
There's no denying the picture quality on BluRay / HD-DVD is awesome, however, its tough to justify the price (player, and the re-doing the movie library).
I have a 1080p TV, and I also have a homeserver that I store all of my divx files on that I stream through my 360, picture quality is decent and the convienece is more then worth it...

meh, 360 has a built in upconvert player. Thats enough for me. I watched bluray on my tv and noticed the difference, but not worth paying for the player and replacing my movie collection. I have not heard the difference, as I have no surround sound. Is the SQ really noticably different than a standard dvd? I need to get a damn surrond sound asap.

I like my HD-DVD player that I picked up for 40 bucks (360 add-on one). I can get movies off the internet for like 10 bucks each. I'll take that over blu-ray anyday even if I don't get new movies for it. The upconvert is good enough that I'm not spending 300 for a blu-ray player.
