WTF?!?!?! Tint ticket....

Ok so my wife drops me off at work, goes back home to pick me up some red bull, and she gets pulled over on 12th ave. For her tint most of you know her car or have seen it???? She is bugging out cuz her mom got the same thing and had points removed??? I believe it was 3 points. Now my understanding is for points to be removed it has to be a moving violation??? Now the ticket is only $20 bucks, not a big deal. I printed out "Chapter 39-21 Equipment Of Vehicles" and under 39-21-39Windshield-Must be unobstucted with wipers-Tinted windows. Number 4 explains that it has to atleast 70% and rears 50%. She got nailed for 35%. If anyone can shed some light on this situation, would be greatly appreciated. Also thanks to freitag for letting me know the laws of tint as well. What im trying to get it at, is this worth fighting? I mean shit it was during the fucking day???? Anyways your thoughts,opinions,and feedback are appreciated. Thanks again guys.

The ticket shouldnt be any points. Unless they recently changed the laws. I have had about 6 of them in the last year and They were all 20 dollars. They were zero points. So basically its not worth fighting because if the fronts are tinted past 50 Percent then its illegal. It should not be any points. It would say on her ticket, on the back of it at least which it doesnt say thats worth points..
You also get a 20 dollar fine for not having a front liscense plate as well. That is also Zero Points. I have 5 of them. LOL.

she is still bent out of shape saying its 2 points!!!! I guess there is nothing on the back of the ticket just a print out from the squad car (state patrol car).

ok she called the police station, one of the deputys' said there shouldnt be any points taken unless it happens alot. He said if you accure alot of these tickets it can effect your points.

If they pull you over and can't see in the car to see what you are doing (pulling out a gun, etc) it puts them in danger. At least thats the theory.

i suppose its better to be over cautious than not cautious at all. but i wouldnt place assaulting a police officer under "wierd random violence".
something wasnt quite right in that guys head if he randomly fillets a complete stranger on a bus then tries to go after other people on the bus.

I understand fully of what your all saying here. I think what hes(d^flex) trying to get at, is its a little hard to believe something like that would happen here. Of course i also see dubbsys' point as well....We nor the police will ever know what could happen.

i don;t understand the laws they have here, in Miami Florida, any tint is fine other than windshield and you don't have to have a front plate just a legible one from the rear, BIGGER CITY LOTS OF CRIME compared to good OL ND and the cops are just scared of the 1 in million chance they might get shot at where in Miami its like a 1 in 100 chance
