I order them from a guy who has a CNC mill down in WI.
I've started seriously looking into a mandrel bender and a CNC mill lately so once i got a few things paid off here i might look into purchasing these items. So dont be suprised to see a mandrel bender and maybe a CNC mill @ the shop w/in the next 6 months or so... I go threw more than enough bends in a month to make payments on a bender its just the initial investment of one thats the kicker.

are you getting a cnc mill or a cnc laser. I think a laser would be badass. You can cut a whole "nest" and get at least 15 flanges. with a cnc mill it would take like 30 minutes to cut one flange. A cnc plasma would be sweet to. prolly a little more spendy than a mill tho.

CNC laser costs around a million dollars, thats out of the question.
CNC plasma isn't define enough to make a nice cut for what im looking for. The guy who's doing my flanges now said his machine ran him $24k. And cutting flanges is pretty much his whole business so it must be treating him well.

yeah I guess, but you would think that milling 1/2 inch thick steel would take a long time. I've seen a mill cut aluminum and it took forever to cut something that wasnt even that complex.

Nick, it's been a long time coming. I couldn't think of anything better for you to get in your shop than those two items. The only thing is that you're going to be spreading you yourself awful thin with all the things your going to be capable of fabing up. time to recruit some cronies to do all the piddly work.
