2008 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) and the beginning of a new era of motorsports in Minnesota. Come join us as we celebrate this iconic racetrack and look forward to a future filled with new and exciting events.

Our 40th Anniversary event will include professional level bench racing, road racing clubs, classic car clubs, performance vehicle shops, motorcycle racing clubs, go-kart racing competitors, vehicle manufacturers, and nostalgia drag racing exhibitions. During this event, the entire BIR facility will be open to visitors.

During this event, you can try out our new 2.5 mile road track by touring, lapping or racing your vehicle on the track. Camping and full service RV sites will be available the entire weekend. Friday evening the party really starts when BIR throws its pig roast and party! Saturday evening the celebration continues with a formal banquet hosted at the track, featuring Three-time Indy 500 winner Bobby Unser and legendary TV announcer Chris Economaki, where we will premiere BIR's first ever documentary video. The fun continues later that evening with a performance by The Johnny Holm Band at 8 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.!

Anyone down for this? It will be very cheap to get your car out on the track.
