96 CBR 600 F3 opinions

I plan on getting a 96 CBR 600 F3 it will be my first bike(crotch rocket that is)... Just wondering what your guy's opinions are about the bike..like if its a good bike to get or not?

Great first bike. I've worked on a lot of them and all the problems were from the owners neglecting them. Built good though

alright cool.. i have two dirt bikes and am ready to move up to a crotch rocket and iv been looking for one for about 2 - 2.5 grand and i have found a 92 f2 and the 96 f3 and i think i will be getting that would so far just wanted to now if they were reliable bikes cuz am kinda into the whole yamaha thing but its hard to find a R6 for less then 2.5 grand lol

All wear and tear items, and items that can be neglected when storing a bike. Old bikes man, nobody takes care of them.

Yes, my F3 was my first bike (June of this summer) and it's been just about perfect. I'd like to pick up something newer/faster but I'd like to hang onto this one simply because it's so comfortable (comfortable enough that' I've daily driven it for 3 months almost every day)

ya thats probley what i will be doing also in the summer is driving it every day like to work and buddys houses but yes manly to school every day but that's a 6 min trip so its not bad but... how fast have you got your f3 going?

you dont want to buy a R6 for that cheap mainly because if you found one it would more than likey be a 99-02 and thoes years were bad years for the R6, the second gear went out on alot of them i can think of 4 people that i used to ride with that it happend to and they ranged form all sorts of riding from stunting to corner carving to just riding.

Lol right... ya i probley wont be going over a hundred but just a curious question... i would show u guys a picture of the 92 and the 96 am looking at but i have yet to figure out how still but i think am going to go with the 96 its in good shape and only has a lil more then 9 thousand miles

hhhm i see well idk the guy sent me some pics to my email, can i use that link.. Hey GsrEk thats a nice bike but uhh am just turing 17 so am looking for something in the 2000-2500 range cuz am going to sell one of my dirtbikes for 2 grand other wise i would
