Cars on our lot were hit this weekend...
-
Well I come in this morning to find 5 of our cars smashed up. The boss found them sunday night and the police were already called, etc... So apparently sometime between Saturday night 6pm-ish and Sunday night 8pm-ish someone was doing bumper cars on our lot. The lot is Andys Auto on Main ave right next to SLS and Ricks Bar. After looking over the parts that were left behind and talking to the dealer, we have narrowed it down to a dark green 96-97 Dodge caravan. This van would have a busted up bumper cover and broken driver headlight, possibly damage to the rear also. It hit our 2000 Monte Carlo SS hard enough so it would be totaled in the driver rear quarter, I am sure the van is pretty mashed too, after looking at the car. The van could be a 96-2000 style, but the part number pulled off the impact absorber left behind says its from a 96-97. The van may not have plates on it, as the front license bracket was left but no plate was on it.
All in all we had 5 cars with damage, the monte has over 3K in damage, 05 Cavalier with at least 2K in damage, and a 97 Cadillac catera, 91 sunbird convertible, and 95 olds 88, all have at lease 1K in damage each.
If any of you seen anything, or see such van driving around, please let me know. Unfortunately our insurance does not cover this, so all damages our out of pocket now.

Will keep an eye out for a green caravan with a whacked out front. Is this like a FS APB ????

Not sure if the boss will change his mind about the insurance now, but in the 4 years we have been around, nothing like this has ever happened.
I have been telling the boss we need cameras ever since someone stole the hug mud tires off the toyota last fall. He just cheap I guess.

Give me a jingle if you ever want to go with cameras. My company happens to do a lot of CCTV work.
