Well I needed a good winter car, and was thinking 4cyl 5-spd. I was looking at a new focus ZTS, but this lancer came by and I had to have it. Its a 2003 Lancer OZ Rally edition. Its loaded and has a 5-speed. Very comfortable to drive, but needs tires, which I am getting monday.

good choice

Ya I hate the nose on it too, If I can find a evo bumper and hood, I am going that route. According to the window sticker its 26 city and 34 highway. Show be much better than what I usually drive. That little 4 banger is pretty ballzy too, I was impressed the first time I drove it.

im not so sure that an evo front bumper and hood will work because becasue i dont think they bolt up, and you would need the fender too, and their aluminum so there expensive as piss. i know there some place that makes a mock-evo body kit that isnt to expensive.
nice buy though. i want one for a beater.

So what exactly is the "OZ Rally Edition"? What upgrades does that come with compared to the base model?Has the big rear wing, ground effect package, OZ wheels, not really sure what else. Looks nicer than a bone stock lancer.

Too bad mitsubishi never made the regular lancer awd then it would be perfect for a winter car. Although one of the salesmen at Valley told me that next year there is suppose to be an awd lancer to compete with the WRX.its already out.

i believe the OZ rally edition got a different exhaust tip and maybe a bit different suspension.

Yeah the ralliart should be showing up very soon... With all the options though it could get pricey. You could basically get a ralliart with all the options for about the same as an evo x with no options. -
