automatic tranny
-
i've decided to build my automatic tranny instead of swapping. i was just wondering if anyone could help me as far as what to do to build it up? where to get the parts to do so? and what shop in town would be willing to do a automatic tranny build? that car is a 2000 integra ls for those who don't know.

I had mine built @ Aamco in fargo (they are on the frontage rd N of Gateway Chevy) and am happy w/ it so far, my car shift soooo much better than stock its ridiculous.

aamco does good work, except some times they short cut like chargeing me for a new planetery shaft and didnt put one in so i had to go in again for another rebuild and had 870.00 worth of parts stolen off my engine so i wouldnt leave it there for long but they still do good work

nope, 100% not their fault. Just as much your fault for not having a 1. Aftermarket hoodlock 2. Security system. But its pretty much 100% the thieves fault for stealing it in the first place.

sorry about that bluejays. Back on topic. I have been very happy w/ the work done @ Aamco, they were recommended to me by both Muscatell and a few guys that I know in town that race muscle cars.

automakers are starting to make built auto trannies in their cars and in turn the gap between 1/4 mile times from stick to auto is closing and audi actually has made an auto that is faster than a stick. This is just what i have read, so correct me if i'm wrong.
