Drag classes for the cars?

the flaw i see in your first class is lots of the forced induction cars use slicks, so which class would they be in?
I'd say break it up as a cylinder issue.
4 cyl all motor
6 cyl all motor
8 cyl all motor
4 cyl forced
6 cyl forced
8 cyl forced
and an "other" class.but that is probably a bad idea too.
and it's 7 classes. -
One thing i am trying to avoid is the repetition of the same people winning, when no one else is close.
If these people chose to run, and barring anything really strange happening to their runs, Dave/Matt would always win a I/V6 class and Bill would win the V8 class.........and no one else is close to them.

I'd prefer to see indexed racing like RF import days.
8.0->9.0
9.0->10.0
10.0->11.0
11.0->12.0
12.0->13.0
13.0->14.0
14.0->15.0
15.0->FUCK YOU ARE SLOWThere will be a million cars in the 15.0 and slower class which should be competitive and fun for those people. Run 3 "trial" passes to figure out your index. Write index on window and off you go, don't run faster than the index or you are out. First person to the end of the track w/out going faster than their index is the winner. Repeat until there is only one left per index class.
Also, this is NOT bracket racing. If you run 11.2 -> 11.5 all day you run in the 11.0 index. Someone might have run 11.000000 all day and they can decide to either run the 10.0 index or the 11.0 index. If they choose to run the 10.0 index they have to realize they'll be running heads up against much faster cars.

Awards points to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in their respective index. 6 pts to first, 4 to second, 2 to third. Person with the highest points total at the end of the year wins the "year" award. If someone runs one class half a year and does a bunch of mods and moves up their index their points reset. Slicks, street tires, whatever, run what ya brung. -

Hell...do it GSR's way then have the class winners bracket race (single elim) at end of day to see who is the most consistent....let the bikes run with them too.

After 3 time trials and choosing your index if you run faster than the base index time you lose.

I would leave the bikes out of it since they've already got their own thing going.
