It shouldn't matter Jon. And you have a warranty so you have nothing to worry about.

We just had so many problem with the Ghetto Si that I have nightmares about my car not coming out of gear like the EM1 lol.

Haha well luckily there are a few key differences between your fit and my old EM1.

Pick up some wheel blocks for 5 bucks at walmart and leave it out of gear and the parking brake off, that's how the 7 is sitting right now.

lol, you guys must be kidding me if you think it makes a difference whether to have the collar and sync of one gear engaged while sitting there over time or not to

            parking brake makes sense

but in gear or not.....makes me lol

So it looks like the best idea is no parking brake and leave it in gear? I'm not as familiar with the build of a manual transmission so I though I'd ask to be safe, that's what I'll do then.

I really doubt your going to destroy your transition by leaving it in gear for a whole 3 months....

                is this a serious question?

It is actually only for one month, but i agree. I think he is looking into as if it is a much bigger deal than it is to leave a car sit for a month....

It's not a matter of destroying it, it's a matter of doing what's best for my car. I try to take care of my stuff the best that I can and this came up in my mind. I'd rather ask a question now than make a stupid mistake and pay for it later.

putting the car on jackstands would be 1000 times more beneficial to the car than "what gear" to leave it in
