The idea behind an exhaust header is to eliminate the manifold's back pressure. Instead of a common manifold that all of the cylinders share, each cylinder gets its own exhaust pipe. These pipes come together in a larger pipe called the collector. The individual pipes are cut and bent so that each one is the same length as the others. that went way over your head man lol. no it shot over your head and im pretty sure past the moon. but welcome. now get outa my thread. oh and did you copy paste that off the internet or something lol. doesnt sound like something someone would just explain. i can hint you dont know much about your car besides what is listed on recipts. but mabye im wrong.

no hate man it was just jokes. like you said headers. well you have a 4 cylinder so you would only have one header lol start a intro thread and post some pics!
