I was told it was a Recaro SRD and that it was $1000 for the seat. I though that was messed up so I looked on the Recaro website when I got home and thats what the price was for a pair. Also a set of JDM itr seats can be had all day on honda tech in the $800 price range.

Impossible. If you want to argue with someone, at least pick a subject you can support. Recaro doesn't list prices on their website, and I don't know how you missed the price sheet I just posted. That's a RECARO price sheet. I even highlighted the cheaper version of the seat in question! SRD's were $1000/seat, and no you didn't see them for $1000 for a pair. /story.

And where are you going with your comment on ITR seats on HT? Yes used stuff is cheaper than new?!? Is this rocket science? You can also buy an ITR for less money than they were new.... A 2 year old couch is also cheaper than a new one. Welcome to.....life?

As your description under your name states: You are for surely here for fail.

Understandable, there are people in life that nobody can please. I accept that. I corrected your false information, and you are cornered into making a bold statement. I feel bad I don't get the opportunity to help certain individuals that don't shop here (for whatever reason), but for the few that don't wish to shop here, I have many others that feel they receive great product, service, and value on what they buy. This is why we have grown into what we are today, and watched other shops come and go. We will continue to do the best we can for every single person that calls on us, but like I said, some people will never be satisfied.

That is a standard 'pro' boost controller, and the ones we sell in the store are the Pro RX's (ceramic ball). Judging from a quick google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=hallmann+pro+rx+boost+controller&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=) on the pro rx, we are a few dollars more at $135, but again, we have to make more of a profit than an internet company to stay afloat and offer a face for you to talk to if you aren't satisfied.

This is actually a good example of misunderstandings that people get when they look online to 'check pricing'. You have to make sure you are comparing the exact same model to judge a price. If you are certain the product you looked at was exactly the same, please just bring up the issue with us and we will ALWAYS do something to make it work for you. Whether it is a few bucks off the install, or calling our distributor for a better price for a one time deal, and ordering you one.

                  Communication is key.

MAP performance sells stuff very cheap, to cheap. This is not the only time I have seen this type of pricing difference.

Yup, that is apples to apples and $45 dollars off our price and $50 off MSRP. If you are looking to buy one, I could certainly call Hallmann and ask for a deal?

There is always people on the internet and ebay that sell stuff that devalues a market, there always will be. Many of our customers have played this route, and it only takes once of getting the wrong part/defective product/waiting a few weeks for a replacement before they see a value in retail vs. online price whoring.

Pro RX is a ceramic ball vs. a non ceramic ball, and the pro rx includes an upgraded spring to run more than 5psi over wastegate pressure. Either can be in-cabin controlled, or just under hood.

                                Thanks for the props.

I think I can rest my case. Look I'm all for supporting a local business, but if the pricing is that far out there, then "having a face" to return the product to in case of a defect or something really isn't worth all that much. Especially if the service you have received there in the past has not been the best. You can blame it on price whoring all you want but in the end if you can't have a competitive price you WILL lose business.

There is always people on the internet and ebay that sell stuff that devalues a market, there always will be. Many of our customers have played this route, and it only takes once of getting the wrong part/defective product/waiting a few weeks for a replacement before they see a value in retail vs. online price whoring.

Most of the stuff sold on ebay is trash! Its a awsome place to buy, and sell stuff(if you know what your doing). I have been burned on ebay, but learned my lesson. You just have to be smart about what you buy on there, if its dirt cheap its a scam or knock off junk.

IDK about ruining the market as much as me questioning the quality of the product they are selling or the quality/rep. of the company that is selling it. When I see places selling stuff for over $300 less then my cost on it, it raises a flag in my mind.

Tintmasters IS the import car performance shop in town. They don't have that much competition and they're the only of their kinda around here so they can price whore all they want They can find a way to get all of the support of the local car scene because there isn't anyone else. The service I've gotten there has always been sub-par. The employees have always seemed less than enthusiastic about answering my questions.

Ebay is a very different story. Gotta be careful there, although I can't say that I have had any problems so far.
