You forgot to mention that everyone thinks you work for free too and don't deserve a paycheck, to make a decent living, and god forbid maybe, just maybe get yourself something worthwhile from time to time. I feel your pain brutha. And just for the record, I called Jason on some stuff a week or so ago inquiring on price and availability. And guess what, he was CHEAPER than anybody on EGHEY! Kudos to you Jason and everyone at Tintmasters. Fuck the haters. EVERY single employee there has always treated me with the utmost respect and always made me feel welcome there.
You are welcome Wes, and with that, I will leave this thread to die.
Happy Holidays all! :icon_rendeer:

I did have a bad experience there once or twice. I think it was because I was driving the cougar, and because it and I, were usually not welcome in that parking lot Tintmasters does not appear to be going anywhere so there must be something to their business model. I would consider my store "competition" in some areas for Tintmasters and I can totally understand what Jason is saying. The proof that you can get it on the internet for cheaper is unequivocal. However they have to cut operating costs somewhere. It has been my experience that those places are paying exactly the same amount that, for lack of another example, Tintmasters is for their parts. So you do the math where are they cutting costs? No sponsorships, check, no store, check, no competent salespeople, check. It might be different for some of you but when I am modding my car I ask a lot of questions about the parts I'm buying. Websites usually don't have all the answers.

Tintmasters IS the import car performance shop in town. They don't have that much competition and they're the only of their kinda around here so they can price whore all they want They can find a way to get all of the support of the local car scene because there isn't anyone else. The service I've gotten there has always been sub-par. The employees have always seemed less than enthusiastic about answering my questions.Maybe its because they dont care to put on a fake smile and suck your dick to get you to buy there product and thats what i like about them they arnt greedy car salesmen...and before you start to get all butt hurt this isnt aimed at you just my opinion on what you had written.

While customer service with a smile is nice and usually a "requirement" for most businesses, I'd be willing to bet that most of the time the person behind that smile at sears/wherever is saying "HURRY THE **** UP AND BUY THIS OR LEAVE".
Not saying you should have to put up with a salesman who is being a complete dick but I HIGHLY doubt anyone at Tintmasters is like that. I've been in there a few times and gotten pricing on some stuff and have no complaints.
If you want to complain about a business my #1 hated business is Site On Sound.

A friend and I were both looking at buying sound systems for our vehicles about...ehh...2 or 3 years ago. We went in there once and browsed for probably 15-20 min and never had a single person come help us...we were 2 of the 3 total customers in the shop with 2 or 3 guys working sitting doing nothing.
A few days later I came in with my friend again, and we had no help at all, but I had $400 in cash on me. I pulled it out and started counting the 20's and suddenly we had a guy come over and offer assistance to us. We said "Nah just looking" and left...prick.

That and how many reputable auto performance stores online do you know of that has no return policy...Drifterextreme, correct me if im wrong, but didn't you buy tires for the s2k from TM's and they got the wrong ones and created a big fiasco that they ended not wanting to own up for?
no offense TM

No offense taken, that is a truthful story. I personally, ordered the wrong size tires for Matt (he asked about the size first, and I agreed that was what should have gone on, but being I am a shop and should have the correct answers, I will take 100% blame) and after they were installed we realized they were....to skinny I believe?? Well after they are mounted and balanced they are not returnable. I ended up getting a credit, but the balance of the size he had on the wheels and the size he SHOULD have gotten was something he was left having to pay for. I don't think that is out of line, because one size is $XXX and a wider size is $XXX extra, and he owed that extra. I felt bad, but he was good to deal with, and very polite and it was that reason that he was taken care of and I did what I could.
I admit my mistakes, and that is one of them!.

Well where I used to work things when down hill when we started providing poor customer service.Just let it go. We obviously have gotten to the point we are at from doing a few things right, and I'd bet 95% of our customers are very happy with how they were treated. If you feel you weren't treated right, I apologize and I mean it. Now let it go man hahaha.

Then speaking from experience, they shouldn't last as long as they have.So your saying they should have went down the tubes along time ago because they don't smile ect.. Im sure that when people walk threw the door Jason is standing there saying "hey what can i help you with man" something like that or similar, i believe that 90% of the people that buy from them, go there cause the environment its a "real" place to be, not someone shoving BS down your throat saying this is the best on the market when they in reality don't know shit about the bogus tie they are wearing.
IMO pretty sure id rather walk into a business's door and get punched in the fucking face than have a cheesy ass smile thrown at me...

I am a cheesy ass car salesman and trust me for how much the retail customer mess with you and lies to my face it does get old after awhile...Its the same in any retail situation for ever good customer you have 5 bad ones like the ones that come in and waste time and drive vehicles just to drive it and waste gas and fuck with us.I think anybody that works in retail would agree with me.The one thing to remember is that everone is trying to make a living and in this market for all of us we have to be competitive on pricing, as for TM you are paying for more than the part anybody would have to agree that they are smart, they have answers if you ask they might be a couple more dollars on a product but you get a sweet warranty with your purchase. There is alot more to business behind the scene that people dont know about ,think about or care about.
