Ok, so i did a system restore last night beacuse my computer was getting crazy slow and i felt it was time. That all went good so whatever..

But, after i was done and what not i downloaded Firefox and what not but found i had this 'iamfamous.dll' shit on it like no later than 10 ten mins after installing it. So i ran Malwarebytes and i though i got the problem solved. I guess not seeming as how Firefox will just randomly crash for no reason on certain sites. Iv ran countless adware/virus/Trojan sweepers and its coming up with nothing.

So...anyone got any suggestions on what i should sweep it with, or what you might know what the problem is. I can post up some logs if someone wants.

PS. this is mostly directed at Jim or someone with equal computer intelligence...

Get a trial of Kaspersky anti virus and run that once, best AV program I've found. I may be a Mac user now but I've still dealt with the PC perils.

Giving that one a try right now.

I also was searching around and thought it could also be a Flash problem so i uninstalled the Add on and reinstalled Adobe Flash.

So far it hasn't crashed but you never know...it happens at random times.

Is it just Firefox that's crashing? Have you tried another browser? If it's just Firefox it could be as simple as reinstalling it.

Yeah I was going to suggest just trying to reinstall it. Sometimes if you get a bug or trojan, it will mess up certain plugins, even after it's been "fixed", but I'm sure you already know this.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Yeah i was thinking about just reinstalling it, but i have alot of bookmarks and addons that i wanna keep and dont feel like installing them all again...

So far it hasn't crashed after reinstalling Flash, running a HouseCall, and doing some regedit. But if it crashes one more time ill just reinstall Firefox.

Btw i did not run Kaspersky because it wanted me to completely get rid of AVG...and im not doing that.

yeah, I wouldn't keep it either due to the price but it's a nice program. You can export bookmarks so you can re-add them...

pcpitstop.com isn't a horrible website to go to if you are having problems either. It's not an antivirus website per-say but it identifies other potential issues.

Yeah you should just be able to use those same bookmarks in the new install.

Correct. During the FF uninstall it'll give you the option to maintain the FF personal data. The other option is to export your bookmarks - uninstall - and import your data back in.
