I was also going to mention something along the lines of saab's platform sharing. Most of the "fun" saab models are subaru drivetrains.

I did a little looking: e-LSD and manual 6 speed with what feels like "true" 50-50 power distribution and active yaw control. the engine is a 2.8 6cylinder, so unless it's the ez30 with different pistons I don't know what it is, but the driveline sounds like 08 subaru tech to me.
