LOL!Any word on pricing on those GSG-5s?
$500 + tax, unless the wholesalers raised the prices... My mom's been trying to get some in for a while, so hopefully it'll be soon... We have a demo one, if u wanna try before you buy... Trust me that + one of the targets we have, it's them little steel plates, but its motorized and they move, and reset themselves (under $200) and you'd have a blast... If u want just lmk when u'd have time to come down and bring some .22 shells with...

I friend of mine has a GSG, it's a pretty fun gun to shoot. He also recently bought a night vision scope for it. hehehe
You AR fans should check out the P90 upper over at Outdoorsman. Although, it's been a while since I've been in there so it might of been sold already, I thinks it's worth asking about least and could be a lot of fun.

Plus that round doesn't save you any money and is less of a performer than .223 or 5.56.

Everybody does.

anyone here have a PSL or know of one in town? I saw what i think was one at the show 2 weeks ago for $600 which would have been a deal in today's market.
they're interesting because the 7.62x54r is a similar class round to the NATO 7.62x51 and the .30-06. The PSL always comes with a nice scope setup for that round and is semi-auto [very similar to an AK action/receiver] and you can get 5 and 10 rd magazines for them. They're in the $700 range now which is a good deal for a semi-auto in the ~308/30-06 range. Plus they're on the "inconveniently shaped weapons" list.
I'm thinking of getting one as a hunting rifle.

well, yes and no. the Romanian PSL is a dragunov "style" rifle but is a totally different action than the real SVD. The Real SVD is illegal in the US and is a $5-6000 USD weapon. About 100 were imported years ago and then it was blocked at the federal level.
So people that refer to PSL's as Dragunov's or SVDs are doing so erroneously, but it is a commonly made error

A PSL is much cheaper and uses an AK style action, but looks the same as an SVD and uses a similar optic. They're also legal in the US.

They're not useful unless you get the full meal deal -- matching scope, weapon, and magazines. And some of them are kit builds vs. new weapons being currently made in Romania for US export.
AIM and ClassicArms have them. Well, AIM is out right now. Classic seems to claim that they have a couple.
