I'm willing to bet that wall street was down because he delivered a somber speech and not a rosy-all-things-are-great speech. Based on his speech (and his speech alone) I feel that he was honest in his assessment of the state of the country. FWIW, here is how the stock market reacted on a few other Inauguration Days
When Reagan took office it dipped 2.09% lower as well...so to continue w/ the absurdity, I guess the stock market doesn't like Republicans either, (I'm not sure why it shows 2029 as the date on some of those...I think it was supposed to be 1929, but I could be wrong)

im pretty sure i read somewhere like 90 something % of black people voted for him. and i can tell you 90 something % of them voted for him just because hes black. i dont like him for his views on things, not because hes black fyi. people think hes the next coming of christ or something. you know "change" isnt always good. damn hippies

I never specified about tax payer or not i just said how much it cost. And you are once again jumping around and don't know what you are talking about. He may be the 44th president of the united states, but he is NOT the 44th PERSON to be president of the united states, just like i said.

We're splitting hairs here, I know, but he will go down in history as the 44th President....(though some would argue that David Rice Atchinson was president for one day on March 4, 1849 when Zachary Taylor refused to be sworn in on a Sunday...this information is incorrect however as he was never actually the president, but I just like throwing it out as useless information)
I'm not going to defend the amount spent, but I can see the justification in cost increase. Post 9/11 everything has been taken to a higher security level. Add to that the number of people who would probably love to see Obama dead because he is black and I can see the justification of the increase.
