That's a loaded gun to throw out a final number. The labor start (stock motor/wiring) to finish (motor installed/merged/running/dash in and out) is $2750.I completely understand what your saying. Was looking for the "general" numbers. That price doesn't seem that bad.
Is that motor the JDM wrx motor?
I was hoping to see this motor in his car.

Yes that is a JDM WRX motor. There was very few differences between the JDM WRX and STi. Both had a 2.0L, but the biggest difference was in the intercooler/ecu/few forged internals. There are other differences, but honestly, none of which will make the $1500+ difference in motors for a typical street car. This swap already has a chipped ECU, will have a catless downpipe, and boost controller....and would walk on the JDM Sti counterpart as well as the Legacy GT-B motor swap. Although cool, the twin turbo legacy motor is not as tuner friendly (besides basic bolt ons), harder to achieve, harder to install, but rarer.... Not worth it in my opinion... But to others, it is.

Doesn't seem very professional to tell all us on the internet how much that guy is dropping there..?? He just advertised a general price for a swap of that nature to be done at his shop? It's not different than posting it under his website and/or price list and still having pictures laying around of that car getting that exact swap...
I call :stirpot:

Yeah, either way though, I could walk in there and ask how much it would be to duplicate that. I'm sure they'd give me an answer on spot lol
