welcome...again.i am a suby hater. but i like the RS's. enjoy the car.
I take it you're a mitsu fan then? I love the dsms for the cheap parts and the fact that they are super easy to work on, but when I had my eclipse it just didn't seem very solid. I'd convert back to the mitsu side in a second if I could afford an Evo though

Yea I've seen (insert name here)'s red RS with the jdm sti swap. I'm not about ready to throw $5000ish for parts and then another $2000-3000 for install. I haven't asked em what they'd charge since I'm not going to do it for a while, but I'm sure having any shop do a motor swap is going to be hella expensive. Hopefully by the time I decide to do the swap I'll make some good suby friends on here that can lend a hand. I'm all about DIY and learnin stuff.this will give you an idea. customer bought his own motor and had us do the work.

I haven't looked into what all goes into swapping an sti motor, so I guess I can't say if I'll pay to have it done or not, but I can say that I'm a pretty determined guy and I've read a lotta threads about people doing the swap themselves successfully.
