Hello All,
Recently moved back to my home town (here) from the west coast, and brought my little track car with me. It's not much but I really love that stupid car. I've got a 2005 Mazda-speed Miata with a few mods done to it so far. No dyno numbers and no 1/4mile times, it runs 8.7 on an 1/8th mile at Qualcom stadium in San diego, and I'm going to get it onto a 1/4 this summer to see what I've gained since that run. looking to get into some autox's up here in the summer, and just have a good time. I've also got this German Tank known as the Audi V8. Its like 4,000lbs and awd. I think I'll track that one too, just for giggles. -

So, here are some pictures and stuff of the Mazdaspeed and the V8
Some quick stuff off the top of my head on the MSM:
Curb weight is 2540lbs
178hp/ 165lbft of Tq (Stock)
Rwd with a LSD (clutch type I think)
Close-ratio 6-spd w/shot peened gears
9.5psi of boost w/IHI vh-35 turbo (made for MSM, sucks a lot..)
So far my mods list on it is: Flyin Miata down pipe, FM full intake, Fm O2 mod, Magnaflow Cat-back, Hallman MBC in-cab, FM frame rails, Speed hut boost gauge.

Friends Ariel Atom. Basically awesome. He has 3 or 4 now. Crazy man
Also a buddy of mine from Cal, He made about 256hp on this setup. Upgraded the piping since then, I'm getting this setup from him.
Then there is some stuff on the V8. Pretty much a large, green, german tank.
Curb weight is 3940lbs, power is 240hp and 256ftlbs of tq from an aluminum V8, AWD with a rear torsen diff, center clutch type diff, and I think open front diff. A lot of fun to drive, either way.

No, he is a really big honda-basher, actually. That particular one is Eco-tec powered. I belive he has since turbocharged it and whatnot, but it put out about 240hp fly at this time. Either way, its light as all hell, and fast as all hell too. He also drives a Focus SVT around the tracks, and loves that thing too. We always ask why he has such a collection of Atoms now, but he says that a lot of people were selling them on some atom site for too little when the economy took a dump, and he bought the most optioned one ever made, called "Gold finger" I guess. I'll hunt for more pictures of it tomorrow. You might think these are cool too. This is from a company called auto konexion.
Also, Atom and ricer really don't belong in the same sentance, except when referring to ungodly beat down's and or whoppings on the track.
Those things are tiny little devils, and the owner of that one tracks plenty. I think you can see him in there too, in the headlight pic he is the taller fella with blond hair and beard, a bit portly there. -
We are all ricers so yeah...they do go together.
I would imagine the 'most tricked out' Atom would be the Atom 500....when it comes out.
Fuck the ecotec ones.
PS. Are you trying to show me/tell me about that Miata stuff? Or let me put it another way: Are you just posting random pictures up?

Oh, I think I was supposed to elaborate. Just off of work, Am tired. Anyway, the pics of like 6 MSM's in a row, the Ariel, and the Fast-back'd Miata were all taken by a few of us at a meet up called "Kinod" in the City of Industry outside LA. This was the 2yr anniversary, about 180 cars showed up, it was pretty epic. The White Miata you see has a top kit and a small fender flare kit from a company in La I named earlier. The cool things about the top are obviously its removable, and it hella improves top end and such. The miata stock has about a .37 CD, and even with our smaller frontal area, is not a very slippery shape. This top would help that a ton, if it wasn't a 4-5k investment to get one. They built it off a factory Miata Hardtop. They are still working on the one piece design, but its pretty slick. I kind of want one really bad. Or, I could join the Navy again, get my car shipped to japan where I would naturally be stationed, and have Mazda do the conversion to a Miata coupe for some ridiculous amount of money.

Some good pics... that white one with the hard top and stuff definately looks sick... loving the atom too, sadly I have to agree with delslow (2nd time in 2 days, I think the world is ending) and have to say fuck the ecotec and K series ftw... And looking at the pics, and what you were telling me tonight, I can about imagine how much of a bitch that audi would be to work on...
