Any of you suckers go to Monster Jam?

anyone get to meet tommy?
I usually go to the monster truck things in fargo/gf but I had a waterpump to install so I stayed in the shop today. A few years ago just after the goldberg/MD transition they were advertising MD was coming so I went (dont remember if it was the fargodome or alerus), you can imagine how disappointed I was when we got there and it was announced that MD was being piloted by "Elwin Dephew". Idk how I even remember the name.

and you were having a new bird decal put on the hood of the trans am?
(Whenever I hear "mullet" I think of the time I watched a guy with a mullet get out of a trans am in front of stevens auditorium and flick a cigarette, it was great)

Team Arctic Cat
Arctic Cat Racing
Polaris
Ski Doo
Castle racing
Skittles Race Team
#24 Tide/Gordon jacketIt was really funny to me walking around during a couple of the shows seeing just how many of said jackets were out there. Family with matching Castle Racing jackets was the best though.
And the 3 redneck weddings were... well... painful.
(yeah, I worked all 3 shows)

wouldn't have been a Goldberg/MD transition because it was a Team Meents truck for a couple years.
On a side note, the team with the Brutus and Spike trucks has a damned good looking pit chick. drool

Wasn't bad I guess. Between the Brutus wreck and Meents blowing a tire and motor before he could roll it over - it was probably the best freestyle. Gravedigger went back and forth between sides nearly putting it over both directions as well. Put a couple trucks upside down during the racing portion.
The worst part of it was the track conditions. The trucks would bite so bad around the corners that there were quite a few truly 'accidental' rolls. That's how the Gravedigger and Superman trucks went out for Saturday night freestyle. Neither of them made it more than about 50 seconds before they rolled them over.PSiedTSi;259443 wrote:

Yeah, not gonna happen. the CO levels are constantly monitored throughout the building.treimche;259452 wrote:
People actually got married at the monster truck show?
Yup. 3 redneck couples - one that had known each other for a whole 7... or 8... or 7 months.Bp-08;259459 wrote:

Yeah, I actually know him. They beat the shit out of that Brutus truck. That rollover was Friday night (probably the best of the weekend actually). He put it upside down again on Saturday and really did the bodywork in (didn't actually do a lot of damage on Friday)
