I have been looking for a job ever since i got laid off as well...they sure do make it look easy to find a job

well, gotta mop the floors before you can make the fries. I know of numerous construction companies and need skilled help, and they pay well. You can't be looking too hard, or you would find something.

from the construction side of the argument, there are jobs, but the vendors/contractors are bidding DIRT CHEAP right now just to get work. I can name 2 competitors of mine who bid EVERY job at zero profit margin just to keep techs busy.....in some cases they are running at -30pts profit on their materials. Just 1 year ago we were in the 30's for margin.

hit up a temp agency, they will find you work. Won't be great, but its something. Beggars can't be choosers.
