Current standoff with Red River Swat Team

The Red River Valley SWAT Team is in a standoff with an armed suicidal male who’s in a home at 802½ 16th Ave. N., a regional dispatcher said at 2:40 p.m.
The call came in about 12:45 p.m., according to the dispatcher.
NDSU police sent out a text-message alert warning of a dangerous situation in the area of 16th Avenue North and Eighth Street North. The message advises staying away from the area until further notice.
