Most cars have a warning light if your oil pressure gets low. I guess im just not ricer enough to think I need a whole bunch of gauges on a stock car. Unless you water temp gauge or anyother one is broke, you shouldnt need an aftermarket one.

Like DelSlo said, by the time the idiot light comes on it's usually too late to do any good, thus the name.
You don't really need a fuel gauge either, there's usually a light for that also but you don't wait for it come on before you fill the tank, that is unless your some sort of dumb ass.
Maybe the guy likes to keep tabs on how well his car is running. There is such a thing as preventative maintenance.
Plus, if he likes to stop and BS with you why can't you just ask him to keep his engine revving to a minimum. If you're decent about it I'm sure he'll oblige you, if he keeps doing it then you should get more firm with your approach.

shut up guys it's a stock lancer. it in no way needs a fucking oil pressure guage.

            for fucks sake.

You show me one person who pays attention to there oil pressure guage after a month of having the thing say the exact same thing....... last i checked your oil pressure droping isn't something your going to NOT notice without a guage.
