Im gonna take a wild guess that they were suggesting you cut your bumper.
They were also suggesting you run it on methanphetamine, it is expensive, but good stuff. No need for an intercooler if you run that.

really? whys the charge pipe on the right side not connected. And you dont know what meth is? and you trying to get rid of you interfooler because it doesnt fit behind you bumper? Any one know which side the throttle body is on a stock jetta?

I guess my point is, if you don't know "jettas" then why even call him out? He made no statements that would cause you to conclude it being an "interfooler"...in fact he's posted 2 separate threads showing that he drives a 1.8t GTI, both showing pictures with the FMIC very visible. Also, who cares if the pipe is hanging there, he didn't say he just took the picture after he got done driving it. Maybe he took that picture while installing it....Go troll somewhere else.
Just trim your bumper. I'm sure someone here would be willing to help if you needed.
