    ~400whp with the 135i w/ Procede

I'd take the BMW but I'm biased.

the 135 is hands down the winner there, on a side note they are a very good looking vehicle as well. IMHO the 370 is one of the ugliest cars produced, like a big fat hippo

car and driver mag ran test with these 2 cars along with the solstice and rx8...370z and 135 were on the top of those charts.... I think the rx8 even had more room for seating on the interior tho than the 135i

I like the 370's.....your call tho.

It's not really a surprise that the 370 and 135i come out on top of an rx8 and solstice though, aren't they priced higher to start out with?

135i wasn't really made to seat 4, the bigger 335i is much roomier in coupe form...

Not sure what the prices are on the 335i and 370 but I'd imagine the R3 is close to the same as the Z......R3 is about 34-36,000 I think.

Either pic, 335i or 370, you'll prolly be happy. I think it comes down to what you want out of the car and what you will be using the it for.

Procede=void warrenty no? But valid point. The I-6 in the Bimmer would be damn quick with a chip.

I am hella biased as well just tryin to keep my eyes open

The Z would be cheaper and easier to maintain. I like the way the Z looks just a hair more than the bimmer. I'd go for the Z.

                      As tested prices:

                      BMW: $37,775
                      370z $33,625
                      RX-8 R3: $32,600
                      Solstice GXP:$32095

The Z is actually the cheapest of the lot in base form, and my favorite:icon_rr:

                          isn't the 135i twin turbo?

and with the ecu's of today i'm guessing it needs a "chip" to up boost ect.

                          this isn't a civic zac :icon_geek:

the 135i is the same motor from the 335i, the 3 liter inline 6 parallel turbo.

its "rated" at 300/300 factory but is very conservatively tuned. it doesn't feel like a boosted motor because boost and torque are regulated to provide exactly 300 ft lbs from like 1500 to 5500 rpm.

aftermarket software more or less "takes out the cork" and lets it make more boost wherever the motor will make it.
