booking hotels for winnepeg?

i was just wondering how far in advance you should book a hotel? how much they cost up there? and what hotels would be nice to stay in up there?

they stayed in a 4 star hotel last year for like $20 USD but that's with a hookup

we went to the radison, it looked nice, but the room was 70 US dollars, and it was fucking tiny. Plus it was 10 bucks US to park each car. It was great location though.

isnt there a part of town you dont wanna stay in specifically? i cant remember what its called tho...the club regent casino and hotel is really nice but im not sure its really close...there is a nightclub and a bunch of stuff right around there...and plus the hotel is easily big enough to hold all of us...i think it was like $80 a night and its 4 or 5star i believe...the casino is amazing

We got a couple for springbreak in winnipeg, the room is usually $150 a night, but my buddy who is comming along works for the hotel chain and we got the rooms for $30 a night. It has the largest water park in Winnipeg (whooptydoo) but is right in the middle of downtown Winnipeg. I would make them pretty quick if you are planning on going there for spring break.

It's ok... the water park isn't that huge, the front desk people are really snobby, and last time, my room was under construction.

sry i snhould have been more specific, me and some buddies are going up there for sport compact nights. i was wondering how far in advance you should make reservations for that. also what hotel are th rest of you guys going too?
