Are these guys for real?

I figure if I ever decide to import a 180SX (CA18), I'd just hunt for a white one. I've still got the title and plates off my white 90 that's rotting away in the junkyard outside of GF. If anyone wants some TEIN front coilovers, they might still be on it, but that was 2 years ago, haha.

I know you used to be able to use them as track car only. is that still the case? You can do that. However, if its already in the states, it could still get siezed. You would have to import one and do the paper work for track only stuff with the DOT.
There was a guy who "traded" his C5 Z06 with a turbo kit for a built up R32 GTR last summer. He had the car for like 1-2 weeks at the most and one morning he woke up to Homeland Security knocking on his door going hey, we are taking the skyline you have in your garage, have a nice day.

You can bring in a 96-98 skyline from japan and get fully legal documentation from the DOT depending on the states and emission controls. there are a few companies that do it here in japan and it will cost right around 20k for everything. the car has to be modified by three different companies and inspected by the DOT and the EPA to ensure proper compliance as well as having the proper paperwork from both nissan in japan along with correctly filled and filed import/export paperwork. we recently had a capt. bring back a R33 GTR in total it took him just over 2.5 years to complete everything and around 50k including cost of the car and stock/aftermarket, as well as compliance charges. BTW all of the motorx cars are legal. The DOT and EPA gave in on the ones already completed and delivered to the owners. btw homeland security would not be the ones taking a car back that was imported illegally that would be customs and immigration.

I already said you could legalize the 96-98 R33s, but they are BY FAR the most difficult, aka not really worth it.
And btw, not all Motorex cars were legal, they were sold as "legal" to people, but the modifications were NOT being done. That is one reason the US tightened restrictions on the importation of them. Motorex was always a cover for something else anyway. The owner was supposedly connected to the Yakuza and used the cars to smuggle either money or drugs...
