I get my car tuned this friday. Saturday I am going to be (hopefully) running in St Cloud @ the DOT Track there to work out any bugs that may still persist. Should be back next week sometime and, assuming the car is tuned properly after the dyno tuning, I may finally take you up on that offer.

Sounds good. I know how it goes. Where are you getting your car tuned and what rate are they charging you for a professional tune? Are you looking at buying a wideband 02 to connrect to your UTEC since I may have one for sale here shortly. That way you can try to keep it in tune with parts afterwards?

RS Motorsports, $130/hour. Unless it is the "Tuna" from TXS I'm not interested in a wideband since none will connect directly to the UTEC. I'm actually contemplating getting an element tuning ECU and selling my UTEC. That ecu is the shiznit and comes w/ the a wideband AND automatically tunes to a specified AFR. -

I asked him about one for my car and he said prolly wouldn't see it till late this year. But of course my ecu plugs are different than yours. Its sweet though, can you say "NO MAF!"

I heard about the element ECU, oh well. Fitzy isn't there some Wideband 02 that TXS was suppose to release ages ago that would direct interfere with the UTEC and do target AFR?

The Wideband you speak of is the "Tuner". It doesn't yet have the capability to self tune, though the whole fuel/boost/timing maps can be programmed via a game boy advanced. Allegedly that will be coming in the future (self tune to target AFR). Phil, formerly of TXS, was one of the main masterminds behind the element ECU. From what I can gather, he learned from bugs/tweaks w/ the UTEC and created a god-like ECU based on his experiences. Basically its everything the UTEC was and everything it ever wanted to be. IMHO the guys @ TXS are idiots now w/ him gone...with the possible exception of Nathan (nmyeti on nasioc & wrxhackers), he has been there since the beginning and has at least some concept on whats going on.

Drake, I'm always up to race. Everybody knows that. Anyway, this time if we race from a stop, it needs to be a full out race up to / past 110, last time it ended without even running above 80.
And of course... interstate, you can pick 2nd or 3rd gear... or both.

we've done like 5 interstate runs, they're gay. I dont turn on ESPN and see guys drag racing from a 15 mph or whatever roll.
