New seats at UP Center should draw a big crowd

The Fargo Force have come up with a great idea to do more for their fans at the Urban Plains Center this year – and the United States Hockey League team is thinking outside the box. It’s not that far outside the box, though. It’s just across the ice.
The Force are going to introduce two new seats at the Urban Plains Center with the team’s “Inside the Glass” promotion.
The two seats are at ice level, and will be situated between the benches – right on top of the red line.
Talk about a chance to get down and dirty in the trenches with the teams.
Hockey fans are a notoriously zealous lot and this is a chance for a couple to not be on top of the action, but kind of get right into it.
Fans will be able to see first-hand the speed of the USHL. Fans will be able to hear almost everything the coaches say to their players.
Even better would be listening to the conversations between coaches and officials when a coach has a beef about a call.
And the best part? Trash talk. How often during a hockey game are players barking at each other as they are going to the bench for a line change? It happens all the time.
That alone might be worth the ticket.
The spot between the benches is cozy, and once you’re in there, you’re in there for the whole period.
But the fans that will be interested in this ticket probably aren’t the fans getting up to wander around when the game is going on, anyway.
One danger could be that the fans in the rinkside seats get a little too rambunctious, and start harassing opposing coaches and players – or Force coaches and players on a rough night.
But there are only two of them down there. And hey, rowdy fans have always been a part of home-ice advantage.
Arenas are always looking for new ways to draw fans. Kudos to the Force and the Urban Plains Center for trying something that nobody else in the USHL has tried. -
Hmm sounds interesting
cant wait for the games to start this year -
