Lesnar: Anyone know more about this?

Brock Lesnar -- the UFC Heavyweight Champ -- is in "bad shape" according to UFC president Dana White and won't be fighting anytime soon.
White made the announcement after UFC 105 last night, saying "He's in a hospital up in North Dakota somewhere right now. He went to Canada and some bad stuff happened to him, so we've got to figure it out ... He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon."
Lesnar originally pulled out of a November 18 fight and reports suggested he had swine flu. The fight was rescheduled for January 2, but then it was announced Lesnar had mononucleosis.
But White made it clear, Lesnar's problems go beyond mono: "He is not good. He is very, very sick and he's going to be out for a while."

Let the rumors fly...
Word going around is complications from steroids causing more complications with Mono. Likely problems with his liver. Steroids turn your liver into jello if you don't monitor your enzyme levels extremely closely. Hell, if he went to Canada for something, he could have gotten a bad "batch" of supplements.
I wonder if we will ever know? If he's in ND somewhere, my guess would be either here or GF. Does anyone know hospital workers??

Meritcare's software has a track anytime you search for a name without other info and they take these matters very serious. It is to prevent situations like these, but it will leak out eventually.

If a hospital employee leaks a single detail about a patient, including admitting him, its grounds for immediate termination and they will never work in healthcare again. Meritcare is my guess, but who knows. I was just wondering if anyone knew what happened to him as far as a health "issue".

according to Chris, it sounds like everyone thought/thinks it was H1N1 and quite possibly an intestinal infection. FWIW, he is in the hospital in Bismarck allegedly.

I didn't know Chris trained with Lesner. I had a couple of classes with him in college. I also helped him rehab a shoulder injury.

Yup, that is pretty much how Chris got his first UFC fight at UFC 102 against Gonzaga.
