Car and Driver did test with these... U can stand on the gas, get up to 70 or more and then start standing on the brakes at the same time... guess what... it STOPS... Or you can put it in neutral, whats the worst that'll happen, rev bounce till it blows up.. pretty sure they'd cover that under warranty... The only problem with shutting it off is power brakes generally go bye bye, and so does steering...
Best way i could think of put it in N, use ur brakes to stop, then shut the fucker off...

It's been seen that it is in the software programming...
Fairly certain the Toyota's don't have a break override for their drive-by-wire, not sure tho as I heard it through the grapevine. -

It was a strike at toyota for being so dumb to even use the floormats as an excuse. I find it over all that it isnt nessecarily the machine that is killing people but the people killing people, If they knew how to drive it wouldnt happen.
