You know what Joel..... don't be a fuck and grow up.

The guard takes ORDERS, and when those ORDERS are given they do what they are told. They don't pick or choose when or where they do anything so don't hate on service members.
LOL I still maintain my original statement from the original thread... No national guardsmen did anything to save our neighborhood. This was a shot at the guy on here who claimed we wouldnt be the same without 750 national guard members... now everyone just sit back and watch all these fools take the bait! worked already obviously!

Well my lil bro is in the national guard and he sandbagged on his own free time for 3 days and after the 3rd day of him doing that he got the call to work guard from 11pm to 11am. I'm just saying just cause you dont see the guys wearing guard uniform doesnt mean they arent doing anything. My bro lives in meadows so he easily could've done nothing about it...

I think Joel is illuding to the fact that rexwagon said last year that the no one could beat the flood without the guard and basically the city should worship the ground they walk on even though tens of thousands of volunteers worked just as hard (and weren't forced either). The guard members efforts should be commended but no more than anyone else's.

I havnt heard Joel once bitch or cry for help...it is so stupid just to say abandon your house because you live on the river. Pretty much everywhere you live you are suceptible to natural disasters. People outside of the valley probably think we are stupid for living in a river valley. Why live there? It floods...either way, living by a RIVER is common.

really, if you go back through his posts he never once bitched or mentioned he wanted help sandbagging? really?

And I said dont live by a river if you dont want to deal with floods. I didnt say abandon. But you probably shouldnt buy one that has a habit of flooding unless that shit gets your rocks off.

And I just dont get Joel. he tells all about his stupid flood wall every year, I dont care.

Pretty much whatever I say most of you guys wont agree or side with me anyways. I could say the earth is round and you wont agree so whatever.

Perhaps last year he may have posted volunteers wanted. We are expecting the 5th worst flood ever. So basically since 1997 they may have had to sand bag or build a wall 4 times. Not so bad...I think his flood wall is interesting and I actually manned the pumps one night last year. If you dont care about the flood wall or anything, dont read the thread or post. Simple huh...and yes the earth is round.

The Earth may be round but only by a very vague reckoning. Of course the Earth's surface has many abberations, mountains being an obvious example. But even if you normalized the surface features of the planet to a consistent height, the Earth is still aspherical. Infact, there is still a fair bit of debate on the actual shape of the earth.

You do realize the entire TOWN is "by the river"? even if everyone decided to vacate living on the river lots, we'd still have to sandbag to keep the entire town from going under. At least until there was a permanent fix...
