My Domestic
-
I never formally introduced myself so here we go. My name is John and here are some interior shots of my car. Below are some pictures of what I spent the majority of my time with this weekend. The dvd player was installed on thursday (Thanks Tintmasters) but the beauty ring around the headunit was too thick so the molding that usually goes around the factory radio wouldn't clip into place. I spent about an hour on saturday sanding down the edges to make it where it would sit flush where its suppose to be. Then i spent an hour or two on sunday tearing my center console apart and painting that, the two little vents on the top of the dash, and the ring around the key hole and hazard button. The dvd player was the perfect size for the glove compartment and its the best location that i can think of because nobody will know its there and I can lock it if I feel the need to do so. Here is how everything turned out. Some of you will think i'm a ricer and thats fine but it was pretty much the only way to make it look good once i sanded the beauty ring done without glassing it or some other expensive alternative. Positive and negative feedback is welcome.

I was gonna be a dick yesterday and say "Whats the radar detector for" but i didnt. looks clean.

thanks sti...the radar will be gone this weekend hopefully. I'm plan on mounting it under the front bumper and hooking it up to an led indicator light and mounting that somewhere inside the cab. I had a buddy of mine install my gauges spoolude.

use the mounting brackets that come with it to place in the standard din opening. Thats all mine is held up with and it looks great. My glove box was the perfect size.
