Quick 8 @ the Street Legals
-
Carrying on with the theme of the motorcycle ET competition at the street legals.......Playtime Performance will be sponsoring a Quick 8 at this years events.
Not everything is set in stone yet, but here's what we're looking at:
-All vehicles are grouped together (domestic, import, RWD, FWD, AWD....)
-RWD will be limited by tire size. Slicks can be no bigger than 28"x10.5" (no "W" tires). DOT slicks can be no bigger 28"x12.5". Drag radials can be no bigger than 325/50. AWD/FWD can run any tire/size.
-No wheelie bars.
-Any car can attempt to qualify. The quickest 8 cars that would like to participate, will create the field. They will run a tournament style bracket, with #1 vs #8, #2 vs #7, #3 vs #6 and #4 vs #5. First to the line, with a clean start, wins.....ETs don't matter. Higher seed gets lane choice.
In addition to a plaque for the winner, we've picked up a new sponsor for the races. Stop N Go has stepped up to the plate by donating prizes for the first and second place finishers. First place finishers will receive a $100 Stop N Go gift card, and the runner-up will receive a $50 Stop N Go gift card.
Cards are redeemable for anything sold at Stop N Go.

All I have is a little small lock in a convertible ricer. You should let me race the nitrous and boosted cars anyway.Seeing as how it is "street legals", Im assuming you will drive your car there??

so if its a street legal event, why are you able to use slicks? dont make sense to me, slicks are not street legal.Because it's a safety thing. Try driving a car making a pile of power on street tires and it's not very fun. We have had this argument for god knows how long now.

Should we do EPA testing at the gate? I hope you don't drive that Mustang on the street with an "off road" x-pipe.
