MMM... Eggs!!
-
So, I didn't know this, so its great for investigatory reasons, maybe the first time, but guess what!? You CAN NOT fry eggs on a Miata. Even if you were trying to, I'd recommend it during the day, when the surface is around 115* or better, so it would obviously have to be sunny. Oddly enough, around 3-6am in the morning is likely the worst time to attempt a task.
Now, Understandable that one would be upset it didn't work the first time, and would try again. However, using the same time frame to attempt your experiment again is basically, well, fail. Obviously the car is about ambient temp (50-65*F) since the sun isn't pelting down on it, and the moon, well , it doesn't have any radiant heat to speak of. So anyway, Dear person who is doing science with my lovely 2005, Silver Mazda Miata, CUT THAT SHIT OUT. Two nights in a row. I would highly recommend trying this instead.Using a round, flat metal item, possibly with a lip around the edge, crack one or two eggs into flat metal item (I'd try doing it gently vice throwing them, as you've been trying.). Then, once eggs have settled in this curious round disc (possibly with a raised lip) I would place it on a heat source of some kind (no, I wouldn't recommend a Miata set ablaze, as it isn't really a stable heat source). You could perhaps try a grill with charcoal, your mothers camry, or, I hear they make this handy thing called a STOVE. After 5-10 mins, check eggs, and if your lucky, they will have fried and be fucking delicious.
Good luck with your experiments, but hey, It would be nice if you could shoot some money my way since you put a lot of scratches and dings in my paint job! Thanks!
Affectionately,
~Nick

so... i take it ur car got egged? No. Wait, yes.
Seriously, though. North Fargo, silver mazda miata... If anyone has any info, I'd love to hit the kid in the face with a shovel. Just sayin. It was probably a dumb highschool kid, no big deal...
It did put some nasty chips in my hood and rear quarter, I could only buff out some of it, but I'll need some filler paint, it chipped down to the primer in about 3 spots. -
