It's like Lesnar's first fight, he got submitted in the first round, even though he was dominated Mir. The Toney fight didn't suprise me at all, pretty much what I expected to happen he just stood there in a boxing type stance and Couture shot in and took him down with a low ankle pick type single. I thought he would have shot in even faster, like immediately after the bell rang. Then of course, once on his back Toney was lost and didn't have a clue what to do, it's not like you can learn everything there is about bjj and wrestling in a couple months and even stand a chance against a guy like Couture.
I thought the Diaz fight was pretty good, didn't expect K-flo to lose that was kinda dissapointing.
I wanted Penn to win his fight but it didn't look like he really had his head 100% in the game. He should have been going for kicks and take downs and trying to get the fight to the ground at the very beginning but instead he just stayed on his feet and tried to box with Edgar who never really presented him with a good target as he was moving around so fast the entire time like he was on speed or something. There were also a couple times where Penn was clinched up with him and could have gone for a takedown but then just pushed him away and backed up and stayed fighting on his feet. BJ's jiu-jitsu is absolutely amazing and his ground game is superior to Edgar's but he never really tried utilizing it until about the second half of the fight when he was allready somewhat tired, and Frankie still looked as fresh as he did when he walked in the cage. Heck, he didn't even look tired at all after all five rounds were over! Dudes a freak...

Wow was the Florian vs Maynard fight boring.
Very impressed with Edgar, im glad Penn got beat down. Very dominant performance, take downs, leg sweep, punches...Edgar is impressive. But...can he beat maynard this next time? Hope so.Toney is a joke at MMA, always good to see talkers get beat.
Now to wait for another good UFC...UFC 121 october 23, Lesnar vs carwin, and the new UFC comer Shields...see if GSP will have a tough competitor.
Kind of off topic, but dont you guys think GSP fights way too little? Jon Jones needs some better future fights, rumored to fight Forrest Griffin...thatd be utter domination by jones...

Yeah I thought of that too, I just think its really crazy that everyone says Griffen has an iron jaw and he has taken just huge beatings in the past yet Silva knocked him cold with a little jab that looked like it had nothing on it, while walking backwards.

80% of the ppl who fight silva don't look the same. Once they get in the cage they seem scared and intimidated. Chael was the first one in awhile that didn't seem that way. Can't wait till Silva gets laid out cold one of these days. And Penn is a lil shit talking bitch. Glad he got his ass kicked. Talks alot of smack but can't back it up. As for Toney that was embarrassing. But he could care less I'm sure since he got cut a fat check.
