if u would pay a little more attention i said stock motor, the car had bbk shorties edelbrock upper and lower intake 65mil t.b. and 65mil. mass air w/ 100 shot of squezze, the tire were a 245/50/16 nitto full belted dot approved radial
the car u speak of is junk, junk parts, junk motor, junk installation
that was the cars full potentional for what it was.......junk!
no dont get all high and mighty and pretend u know what ur talking about, uve been driving a car for what 1 year? -
Boy and here i thought you were a cool person ovbiously not. Your idea of stock is twisted and not what i was thinking of. And whether i've driven longer than one year is not what we're discussing. And as for the car...diss and rag on it all you want i dont care. I helped build it i know what its capable of and to think all of 14's is just uneducated a.k.a you.
-
"uneducated"? ive been racing/repairing/beating the shit out of cars before uve dreamed about driving a car, ive had 1000's of hours in vehicle repair training and im also an ASE certified technition, service consultant, and parts consultant
not usualy a dick here but when the B.S. starts to get a little to thick i tend not to sit back and let it fly
let see ive recently pick up a plymouth acclaim let's say it runs a 19 sec 1/4 mile a 19 sec shouldnt be "it's full potential" if droped let's say a million bucks into it, it would run 9's, but i wont drop that into it so basically it will always be a 19 sec car, that is the cars full potentional!
the car has a worn out motor with a 7.5 inch rear end in it, if it had power and/or traction it would brake so basically it has no potentional to be faster than 14's
THE END

Owned.

Touchy arent we lol. FYI the engine was rebuilt so worn out is not quite the right word description. As for it breaking not likley though it may not have brand spankin new everything in it we made sure if it hooked nothing would snap. Now if your done throwing a fit i think we can both stop whoring this thread and let bygones be bygones.

turbo 5oh's 5.0 had no where near the torque of the 455 hence the traction problem. All things considered it def did not run what it should of but who cares? Josh isnt selling the car based on 1/4 times so no need to discuss them any further.

every car has alot of potential!!!If Turbo5Oh can go 12's with street tires, then why cant a car with (supposedly) more HP?
it doesnt make since to me, but o well.Anyone want to buy my 17 second car?? ide swear, its got alot of potential!!
Hey buddie if you think about it the more horse the less traction and its was not a stock 455 it had quite a bit of buildups on it. it was not just some plane jane motor set in a stock mustang. and for your info its not a 7.5 rear end we switched the rear end to a 8.8 with 3.73 gears. it has 4x heads on it .30 over low end was built. it was origanally built for turbos so it is running really low compression. Edelbrock intake and carb. it has a 295 advance duration an a 534 gross lift. this was not stock so dont talk shit unless you know what you are talking about. you wanna talk to the people who built it call 701-729-2379 -
I think that if any of you had the balls to try and put a pontiac 455 converted to a 462 into a mustang and have it up and running with the power that car had, you would have to have the mind to fabricate every thing to get it to work.... So I would like to see how many of you rocket scientists can do that.... For that matter the head of the mustang club was very impressed by the car and made a personal visit to his house to see it... How many of you monkeys get that kind of attention..... So bite it!!!!!

Not to be a dick either, but I have customers running 8.60s on built 8.8 w/ all ford suspension on 10 in tires. I'm not sure, but I would bet the 455 in that car doesn't have more than the 770 hp and 700+ torque (to the wheels of course)-
Guys are running low 8's on drag radials everyday and you can't hook up a 14 sec ride (what's the MPH- we'll tell you how much HP it has)??? Maybe I'm misinformed, but until then I'm with turbo 5.0.
If the car has a low compression 455 (which are turds anyway) and only a 534 lift with ??? LSA, I'm guessing it would put about 230 HP down and 290 tq. Just a guess- and I am not a smart man, but I saw it on TV once and figured this combo would fall right in there.
GO MIKEY!!!!
