Tearing into my 68 fastback mustang this winter and going to completely upgrade all the suspension and motor this winter. Debating on throwing a 03' 4.6 cobra motor in or just spending the money and throwing an 07 GT500 motor in it.
Alright, So its late and maybe not thinking very clear but I was thinking about throwing a RB25 or 26 in it. Stupid idea?
I think i can get by cheaper doing it this way. I want to keep the Engine swap to less than $10k. 500 RELIABLE HP is my goal. Input please.

Is anyone still here? I'm hoping for some help with a little project this summer.
My diesel bug does not start (reliably) in the winter, unless it's in a garage. With that in mind, I'm planning to wire up two batteries in parallel for twice the current at the same voltage. Has anyone else done this? I'm mostly concerned about how to mount two batteries in the trunk.
While we're on the topic, if I pay someone else to do this, I'll probably want to get some tinting. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Your not following what I am saying. You want your cranking battery as close to your starter as possible. And Chris is right. Get the vehicle up to par and if the battery doesnt fit right, get the right oe fit battery first and THEN wire a second battery back there. Or, you can ignore all that we've been trying to tell you and just do what you want but that alone may not take care of your issues. On a diesel, cranking power is not the only thing you need to worry about. -

Short block for sure
Maybe a complete motor if it is a decent deal
Stock replacement turbo
Turbo inlet tube
Aftermarket up pipe and down pipe
Driver's side front fender in black
Stock side skirts in black
Stock fog lights
Front bumper plug where the tow hook goesPM or email me at [email protected]
Thanks.

I'm about to pull the motor out of my 2002 WRX so it can be rebuilt/replaced, whatever, since one cylinder has no compression. What, if anything, can I delete? Any emissions stuff? Extra vacuum hoses? Basically once the motor is out, besides fixing it, what should and can I do to simplify it? That AC compressor is a bit of a pain in my ass.
