insurance full coverage would be about 138$ a month and loan payments would be what.... around 300$? still nothing compared to other cars these days

Insurance on a STi actually isn't that bad(unless you have a really shitty driving record). Last time I checked insurance rates for a STi, and it was $20 a month cheaper then I am paying on my 03 WRX.
