D16 Top Mount Manifold

Built this one for my own car yesterday, trying to get it ready and back going again for RF next weekend. If everything stays together going for an 11 sec pass on a stock SOHC longblock. Hopefully gonna be up and running and ready to dyno this weekend. Old manifold setup made 241 whp and 202 trq on 10 psi.

I like...are D16's generally pretty strong motors for boost?

Same turbo i always had 57 trim .48AR. Im only looking for about 260-275whp. That'll be plenty to send it well into the 11's. I have another block thats sleeved w/ solid deck sleeves i'll use when this one decides to go. Once that all goes in i'll upgrade turbo's as well.

how far up does that sit? is it high enough that you'll need a different hood? going to remove the headlight for better intake temps?

It fits under the hood w/ a good 1/2" or more clearance.

Downpipe done and wastegate runner done. All thats left is to make a dumptube for the wastegate. Lower IC pipes consits of (1) 90 degree bend as you can see in the pics. Probably a total of maybe 8" long.

did you purposly make the manifold like that so the lower ic piping was only 8" long or did it just come out that way?

I like to build the manifold to fit the car and the setup. Every setup has a better design suited for it. But yeah i can build whatever, just let me know.

Been finished for awhile now but never got around to posting completed pics, so here ya go. Didn't have any SS left for the DP and dumptube so i'll be going back and redoing those whenever i get around to it in SS. 9 piece dumptube :-).
