Well your getting 3850k then if your dl at 385K.

Technically we're not supposed to get those speeds anyway, but it just depends on your neighorhood and such

The wireless will only be 1mbps which is too slow right now, plus we get our 3mbps free anyways lol We did the whole cycle routine yesterday but it took 24 hours before the "internet" light went solid which was really gay. It was perfectly timed too. Lastnight we unplugged the cable and plugged it back in after i hooked up my new "server" computer we set up and thats when it went down so i thought that computer might be the problem, being as they have "3 device" limit and we have 6 connected so far so we disconnected that and had to fuck with all the cable wiring running through our house (at least 400+ feet).

thats not the right conversion jim...its 8bits to a byte so thats not correct...connection speeds are in bits and data is in bytes...

1megabit per second is 1024 kilobits which is close enough for me!

I was down for 2 full days as well. Their damn customer support has either been busy or has put me on hold for 15+ minutes to the point where I just hang up because I am calling from a cell phone.
As soon as I get through I will be asking for a discount for those two days...

I was considering going the VoIP route but it'll never happen with the piss poor reliability of CableOne's internet 😞

Not to mention the slow upload speed of cableone, VoIP would be terrible

I have done VoIP off my home system (using a program called Asterisk) between myself and a friend who was using 56k dialup...so bandwidth requirements are minimal when using the right codecs. Regardless, better upload speeds would be nice.
