Quickest production car in the world..

[QUOTE=heath]500 hp and a Getrag gear box? that sounds like a good recipe for 10's. QUOTE]
I hope you are being sarcastic...

I don't why you guys are questioning the specs released by Nismo. I don't think Nissan would be lying to 20 customers who are putting out $170k each.

getrag is the bomb

I havent had any problems with my getrag transmission... and I ride it around hard. Only problem is the gearing sucks... wish I could change it but with 2-final drive gears thats not gonna happen as no one has even attempted to try it.
And 500whp at under 2000lbs I call bullshit on you. Any AWD car expecially an R34 skyline weighing under 2000lbs with 500whp and not running 10's or even 9's is bullshit. The drivetrain in the R34 is one of the best AWD set ups around...

I used to own/race a R34 GTR when I lived in Japan. I had 501 at the wheels and the best quater I ever ran was 11.03. Thats with mods. Not to mention the car was completly gutted, anthything that added weight was taken out, ex: Air Conditioner. I weighed in at a little under 2,000 lbs. So I don't know how he can be that fast, if it came straight from the factory????
I'm stickin with Dangler on the bullshit flag.
OK, wait. You lived in Japan, and owned a Skyline, or GOT owned by a skyline. I'm not sure why you moved to Fargo. Anyways. -
Your pages are lame. Oh look, the ford website says the real story.

I am pretty sure it's the fastest like I said, american/us production anyway.

that says nothin about the performance at all...

I used to live in Tokyo, Japan. I was military, then I volunteered to get out after I went to Iraq and lost 2 of my best friends right in front of my face. I am originally from around here thats why I moved back. Yeah I know i'm a dumbass for doin so. As soon as I get my computer at home up and running I will post some pics of my car. And someone mentioned driver error?????? I don't think so, put me in a rear wheel drive car somewhat similar to what i used to own, response and power wise, I guarantee I will drift the fuck out of the car, with or without passenger. It was gear box problems with the 1/4 mile times. Got it fixed a few times then went to shit, it was more set up for drift.

So quickest production car as in 1/4 time or top speed or what? And what do you guys consider factory? Lets say a Hennessey Viper?
-
Yenko was a production car at one time...very limited though.
-
Produced as in distributed for special orders.
"The first were special dealer-installed units, most notably the Yenko Camaro 427. Yenko Sports Cars, based in Pennsylvania, along with other Chevy dealers such as Nickey in Chicago, Dana in California, and Baldwin-Motion in New York, would install the L72 427 cid block, rated at 425bhp by Chevrolet, ordered under the Central Office Production Order System (COPO) code 9562 into a buyer's Camaro. The Yenko Camaro 427 is a typical example: it came from the factory with no ornamentation, badging, and the 427 engine in a crate. Yenko installed the 427 block, changed the rating to a more realistic 450bhp, and added 15-inch rally wheels, bigger front roll bar, and sYc (Yenko Sports Car) badging. A full complement of racing add ons were available and sub 13 second quarter miles were possible with a few more dollars."

i still say the koenigsegg ccr has all of the above beat. accelerates faster than a zonda, and goes around a track at the same speed as a carerra gt.
lighter, more aerodynamic, and more powerful than a mclaren f1. 655whp. 0-60 in 3s flat. top speed of 245mph.
EAT THAT, FORD!
