Hey my name is John and i just bought a 97 eclipse GSX....had it for 4 days and its in the shop already

well some of you have probably seen my new car before...i bought it from a guy in Valley City...its white with Checkers.....i didnt do anything to the car....i just put it in the shop to get all the internals replaced...and a Garret t70 turbo!!!

found out a little more about the t70 and my block wont handle 500 Hp so i decided to go with the t3/t4...now im running [email protected] think thats good enough...any more hp and im gonna need all new internals...which will be comming soon

yeah i did say i was gonna get the internals replaced and get the t70 but then i changed my mind...decided to leave the internals for now and get the t3/t4 turbo.....and i;d love to see a 4g63 block handle 500 hp with all the stock internals...you tell me what whoever has 400HP+ in there Eclipse...what turbo they have and what psi they are running and i will tell you if ur a idiot or not

Didnt Tufte run 400hp+ on stock internals? I remember him running stock internals for quite some time after breaking down his built motor. Correct me If I'm wrong here.

hmm well nick tufte has a SCM61 PTE turbo and he made 530whp at 30psi off the bottle...and if i remember right that was all stock bottom end...1g rods 2g pistons and uhh kevin smith has a PTE50 trim
and made a shade over 415whp with around 30psi on stock longblock!! and then theres nate burgess and hes got a SBR 60-1 making over 500whp with who knows how much boost and AEM EMS...that enough for you? -

Guys....lets not forget....checkers on your paintjob add like 250 whp doesnt it? He's probally right. Better watch out tufte, burgess, and smith. You guys need to add some decals and maybe you guys can all race

6-bolt bottom-end can handle around 550-600hp. It has been proven several times with John Shepard, Al Blaha and Tym Swyzter. Al Blaha ran 10.5 at 132 with stock bottom end, sans 2g pistons. Motor was never pulled from the car. This was with a Red and HKS 272 cams. 1g intake manifold and hacked 1g MAS.
7-bolts can't handle as much but it also depends on the application. Russ Coxe is running low 10s with a T72 and NOS and he's still running a 7-bolt. He's also an Automatic too though. As for a 10-sec or better 7-bolt.....it might, but not for long.
