What exactly are the laws for air bags in cars? is it illegal to remove them? Like to install an aftermarket steering wheel?

IMHO, it's not worth loosing the airbag over what ever sort of gain you're going to get from some aftermarket wheel. Especially if you're going to still run the stock seat belts. I've also never found an aftermarket wheel that even looks like it should be in a car originally equipped with a driver side airbag. Like at an unpainted body kit, they always look like shit.

i know one thing for sure is if you were ever to sell the car you would not be able to if you had an airbag gone, i think that is the in order to sell a car all safety features must be in working condition

Air bag systems weigh a lot too. It's about as illegal as removing a cat.

if you want a better looking steering wheel i would get a CTR wheel

that would look like it belongs and not lose the airbag; and disabling them is as easy as unplugging the airbag

the flame suit is one so start flaming. Its a 3 spoke D-shape wheel, you know, the style with the flat bottom. I like it so whatever.

FYI, make sure if you get harnesses that they are mounted PROPERLY, 90% of the cars I see with harnesses are not mounted correctly. If you get in an accident and don't have the harnesses right you will break your back.

i know. You dont mount the harness directly down from the back of the seat. you want to mount them farther back. i am giong to use the existing bolts for the Rear Seat seatbelts or use a harness bar that is incorporated into the cage.
