Not even relatively close the same. Whipping shitties in the field of a city park is just plain stupid. Wonder why the cops kick everyone out of every place because people always have to do stupid things to ruin it for everyone.
I myself am 100% guilty of doing excessive speeds on the interstate, but NEVER something as dumb as whipping shittes in a public city park w/ mulitple cars @ BBQ in the middle of the day to say the least. Not like when the cop showed up you guys were going to be able to deny it.
This is just like the stories i read every week, fucking cops suck pulled me over cuz i was being a dumbass. Suprised i didn't read one, fucking Mhd cops suck gave me a ticket for whipping shitties in the park. I myself have been pulled over numerous times but 99% of the time i deserved it. SO dont expect to drive stupid and not get caught.

Oh, if we would have gotten tickets, we would have deserved them. No one is disputing that. We didn't get kicked out of the park, we got yelled at (deservedly) and told to move our cars from the grass.

I agree, it affects the whole scene. However cops getting reports of 2 import cars racing down I29 or I94 at 120+ doesn't help the scene either. I'm not justifying what was done, it was stupid and shouldn't have happened no doubt, but it did and it can't be undone. I'm just saying that any time any of us get street racing tickets, exhibition driving, etc, etc, etc... it puts us in a bad image with law enforcement. So unless people are going to quit street racing (doubtful) they really can't talk much about hurting the image, they just need to do what we would have needed to do had we been ticketed...pay it.

What we did in the grass was just plain stupid and I'm one of the culprits. I will take full responsibility for my own stupidity Chuck doesn't have to. Each one of us that participated in the follies made the decision to do so and we deserve to be flamed upon for doing it. I'll sit and take everything that ANYONE says in regards to it. Fortunately, noone had to pay for my/our mistakes like getting kicked out of the park. Which could have EASILY happened. I will take this time to apologize to everyone an the boards and who attended the bbq for my actions.

yeah it does affect the whole scene...but if you didnt do anything wrong...why worry about it.

Couldnt be the worst thing that has happened there from the 100,000,000 drug deals that go down in that park a year or the daily gang fights. Just another chapter in the ghetto history of Gooseberry Park.

stupid shit is stupid shit. whether it is street racing, doin' 120 down interstate, whippin shitties in a park, or in a parking lot it is all stupid. we have all done it. its like the pot calling the kettle black. i give the guys credit for apologizing and owning up to what they did. everybody is just as reponsible for giving the scene a bad name. so quit your bitching about other peoples mistakes. just own up to what you do and take the heat.

Street racing on the interstate, or in town with people around (which there always are), is worse in my book... Nobody was endangered here atleast.
Everybody with a quick car has done stupid shit, nobody has ever appologized for it before, what's the huge deal now?
