that price to race is extremely high... but its not too bad i suppose given that there is barely a spectator's fee... -

it's a decent price when you look at the factors.
ya i suppose... not too bad of a track. Better than what I expected it to be at first. -
i remember asking a couple of guys about it last year (when i stopped by one saturday before work to see what kind of place it is) and if i remember correctly, it costs a lot more to run if you're extrememly fast. maybe it was in reference to some contest that was going on?
-
it is not my place to say what THEY SHOULD DO.
but 30 a pop for 6 hours is on the outrageous side. and that has changed my mind about running tomorrow.
a thought they should think about is
instead of 4ish times a year at 30 a pop, they could put some thought into maybe 8 times a year at 15 a pop.
i mean outta 4-5 months that track is open that is plenty of days to throw in 4 hours here and there.
but like i said it is not my track nor do i have any sayso on what goes on there.
but every other 3rd friday night sounds like it will give enuff time between track days that people will look forward to goin. i dunno just a thought.p.s. i have a few drinks in me, so hopefully this makes sense

edit* reasonably priced to me would be.
15 to run and 5 spectator fee -
Quit fucking bitching already christ. It's only $30. Where else can you have an afternoon of fun for fucking $30?
I guess it's different for myself having paid $75 to race a single day and only get 2-3 passes.
Everyone knows I'm the first to bitch about the track... but it's gonna happen, it's supposed to be relatively nice out, and I'm going to finally have my car out this year.LETS FUCKIN RACE ALREADY.

Alot of people need to settle down and stop bitching about the track not being open very much for the street legal crowd. At one point in time I was angry that there wasn't very many street legal days, but then I realized that there must be a reason why there aren't. If there are to many days then they won't be able to draw in a crowd, if they can't get enough people in they won't make money.
I Also realized it is the only track anywere near close to me, and that if it wasn't for them I would have nowhere to race. Last weekend when I drove up to the street legals, I drove an hour and a half to get there, paid, got tech inspected, and got fucked over by the rain. It isn't their fault, they can't control the rain, and they aren't happy when it rains, so they provided me a rain check to use for the next event-so I will be there tomorrow!
BE HAPPY WE HAVE A PLACE TO RACE!!

Anyone who wants more street legal track days to occur can do the following: Go find someone, or some business, to sponsor the event. Then tell them the daily track rental fee is in the neighborhood of $3600. As they walk away laughing, you may start to think about how nice it is to have the few street legal events that we do have.
Oh yeah, BTW, thanks Tintmasters for paying for us to use the track.

instead of 4ish times a year at 30 a pop, they could put some thought into maybe 8 times a year at 15 a pop.you're looking at that all wrong. Yes you'd come up with the same amount of income assuming everyone raced every event, but you're paying out twice as much.
Like Ethan said, $3600/day (or whatever the timeframe is) to rent the track. That means pulling 120 cars just to break even (and I'm betting each event doesn't pull a hell of a lot more than 120 cars.) Drop entry price to $15, you'll have to pull in 240 cars. There just aren't that many racers in the area I don't think (street legal cars).
Head down south if you want cheap races... Only way it's gonna happen.

If the track was smart they'd put these on without sponsors more frequently. It was rather busy today.

Id pay what ever to race , cause its priceless beating V-8s at the track... we dont want 240 cars to show up either , we would never get to race....
