I hate them but if someone is willing to pay 800 bucks for them plus install I think I would have to consider ruining their car. Besides, who wouldnt want their car to glow forty million different colors? That shit would be supa dupa fly.

Hey, I know the kid that owns the Red Prelude with purple under glow. his name is Jacob shipp, he goes to oak grove. Its an awsome car.
Oh ya, How long would it take you to go through all the colors, shit, you would be there forever just tryin to pick out a color.

ok first of all neons in minnesota are totally illegal, and i have 2 friends that can contest to that.....the first had his on while driving through moorhead and the cop did a u-turn on main avenue to catch him, and the ticket was for prohibited lighting...dont remember how much $$ though. The second friend stupidly had his on while driving back from DL and got pulled over in hawley (didnt listen after i told him it was illegal)....and his ticket was 110$...also for prohibited lighting. As far as north dakota i have actually talked to several cops and they all said that almost all neon colors are illegal....BUT blue and green are legal and the bulb cannont be showing.

mmm ive been told that blue is illegal because it is an "emergency color," as in red and blue po po lights.

well i went to the court house today in bismarck and they said the only colors that are illegal are red and green...if any cop says otherwise its not true....no bulbs can be showing no matter what color....in minnesota yeah all are illegal but in ND not all are....and for how long it would take to scan through all the colors it would take proably about 15-20 seconds because it scans....and if you have 800 bucks to have them why not get them it just makes your car look nicer...maybe more ricey but owell its your car do what you want to it....because i guarantee if you want to put ur car in the car show and its pretty bright in the place the car show is and you have ur underbodys on and you can see them easily more people are gonna look at your car...beleive me i've done it.

With a kit that scans through over a million different colors like the one your talking about... I would be willing to bet my left testicle that the cop would spend twenty seconds making sure he really did see 175,000 different shades of illegal colors. If he will take ten min to make you blow the whistle, he will surely take twenty seconds to write you a 100 dollar ticket. While he is at it maybe he can write you another one for being a dumb shit and wasting 800 bucks not counting the 100 dollar ticket he just handed you.

i thought about putting a live nudes neon sign in my car...that would be awesoem as fuck....as for gettin a 100 fine for these lights...the cop wouldnt know what to do ...and once you seen the cop you could put it on one color and tell him he is a blind bastard...

Not only(IMO) are neons super retarded but they can kill. I was hanging out with a few buddies putting neon on one of their cars and he had the whole circuit complete cept 2 wires, and he wanted to make sure the switch was off. well he had the sitch wired wrong and he turned it on. The wires arched 3 inches apart and fried his pointer finger and thumb. Then the next five minutes consisted of my friend hopping around screaming WOOO WOOO WOOO like bub rub because his parents were in the house with the door open. As for undeglow under beds and couches, Im down. My friends got christmas ropelight that flashes red and green under his bed and it looks SUPER FLY!
Interior Lights: Same kid with the underglow has about 45 LEDs(BLUE)in his interior on a switch and driving down Highway 10 we saw a cop and quickly reached for the switch to turn them off. He noticed and U'd it up and flipped on the cherries. Just got a warning but he said its illegal to have them even equipped in the vehicle if they are not below the dash level. Just another quick thing to add to this discussion.
That kid with the red prelude and purple underglow is cool. His car maybe a little tasteless (mismatching neons, NOS steering wheel cover, seat covers and floormats, or wait are they XR racing
) Nice bodykit though. Admit it, everyone has had thier ricing stage(cept maybe Nick and Kevin) some of us are just stuck in it longer than others. No harm done. Maybe some people think that people with LED washer nozzles and underglow give the import scene a bad name, but they're always going to be there.Also one last quick thing. I was riding in a friends car and got pulled over in DL for having clear sidemarker lights. Is this really Illegal. If so, how do the people driving 02-03-04 Golf, Passat, and Jettas get away with it. Most models come stock with them If I'm not mistaken. Just another question.
